Eurofins Product Testing - Indoor air limit values (LCI, NIK, CLI, CREL, ...)
LCI, CLI, NIK, and CREL values are used by several emission rating schemes as limit values for evaluating emissions of VOC into indoor air.
Here you can download a comparison of limit values for emission into indoor air.
The sources are:
German LCI / NIK values -

- in English: www.umweltbundesamt.de/building-products/agbb.htm
French CLI / AFSSET values:

Californian CREL values, used for CHPS, Section 01350, BIFMA, Floor Score, CRI, and more programmes: www.oehha.ca.gov/air/chronic_rels/AllChrels.html
An overview over recent and on-going EU funded research projects on indoor air quality, some of these also dealing with guidelines and with emissions from products into indoor air, is available here in a summary of a workshop held in 2008. Especially the presentations presented on 2nd day of the workshop may give hints on into what direction policy may go in Europe. There are also latest German exposure values and guidance of German UBA on how to evaluate indoor air measurement results (these are available there in German only).
LCI, CLI, NIK, and CREL values will determine partly future product development and technical trends for a number of interior finishing products with emissions of VOC into indoor air.
